What a lovely evening everyone had as staff and Governors welcomed our new families. The evening began with a presentation from Mrs Westray and Mrs Shelts, who explained the ethos of our school, the importance of great attendance and punctuality as well as day to day organisational information.
The parents then split into two groups. One group spent some time with Mrs Steele, our wonderful new Reception class teacher (she will start working with us in September) who discussed what the children will learn during their first year at school. The other group spent some time with our Year 6 Pupil Senior Leadership Team who presented "A day in the life of a Holy Family Reception pupil."
The parents were able to sample some lovely treats provided by Louise, our School Cook as well as filling in the necessary forms for our school office.
The staff and pupils are very much looking forward to getting to know our new parents and their children in September.
