Holy Family Catholic Church Fr Peter Draper
Holy Family Catholic Primary School is in the Parish of Holy Family Catholic Church, Whitby Avenue, Ingol, Preston.
At Holy Family Catholic Primary School we have such strong links with our Parish community. We are so lucky to have the church of Holy Family across the road from our school. Father Peter is a regular visitor in school and each class in turn always enjoys joining the Parish for weekday Mass on a Thursday. We are delighted that some of our children join the Parish for Mass on a Sunday. Come along and join our celebrations.
Mass times are normally: Sunday 11.00
Monday & Thursday 09.15 (other weekdays 09.15 at St Anthony's)
For further information please click here to go to the Church website.
Attending Mass with Classes
We have weekly class masses in Church on Thursday at 09.15. All are welcome to join us.
Sr Eileen works tirelessly to ensure that the Share It! bank is stocked with food. The food is available to anyone who is needing help in the parish by obtaining a voucher from INTACT, Ingol Community Primary School or Holy Family Catholic Primary School. if you feel that you are in need of help or know someone who is, please do not hesitate to contact one of the three organisations for a voucher.
We would like to say 'Thank you' to Our Lady's Catholic High School who have generously purchased a share in some world gifts Gift from 'World Gifts' instead of sending out Christmas cards. Please click here to have a look.
Our School News
Yesterday, we (the whole of Holy Family) performed a carol concert to the residents of local care homes including Greenfields and Elsie Finney. Year 6 greeted the visitors at the door and gave them refreshments including mince pies, shortbread, tea and coffee (yummy!) Nursery performed 'Jingle Bells' and even had their own bells to jingle in time to the music! Reception performed 'Twinkling Stars', Y1 and 2 performed 'A Perfect Moment', Year 3 performed 'We Three Kings', Year 4 an 'Advent Song', Year 5 'Winter Wonderland' and Year 6 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' the whole school then ended with a performance of 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas'.
The whole school impressed the visitors who couldn't believe what lovely singing voices we had!
Afterwards, the other classes went back to their classrooms and Year 6 stayed behind to chat to the visitors.
It was a lovely afternoon and got us all excited for Christmas!
